Pick a date - a birthday, a trip, a due date, the last day of term - and Upcoming counts the sleeps until it lands. Put the number on your Home Screen, drop it into someone else's chat, or wait for it together.

- Share now asks what you want: invite people with iCloud so everyone follows the same countdown, or send a picture of today's count
- A “Preparing iCloud sharing…” card shows while Apple's sharing sheet gets ready
- Tapping an Upcoming invitation in Messages opens the shared countdown, and each bubble says whether it's an invitation or just a picture
- A countdown shared with you says who shared it, and why only they can change it
- Repeating countdowns you share now move to their next date for everyone
- Clearer editing: pick a Color or a Photo background, the emoji has its own row, and reminders read “A week before”, “The evening before” and “The morning of”
- Labelled Edit and Share buttons on every countdown

- New widget looks: Simple, Calendar and Snapshot for a quiet Home Screen, plus Page a day, Boarding pass, Departures, Dots and Night sky, alongside Ticket, Stack and Poster
- Widget styles: in Settings > Widgets & stickers, make a style for small, medium or large widgets with the look, font, colour and photo you like, then tap Use on my widgets. It restyles the widgets you already have, too
- Medium and large widgets can show several countdowns: one big, one with the next ones under it, a list of five, or four at once. Show the next ones up, or only the ones you pick, in your order
- Make a countdown without opening the app: ask Siri, “Create a countdown in Upcoming.” The Shortcuts app has a Create Countdown action too
- Widgets now wear each countdown's colour and emoji, and tapping one opens that countdown
- A countdown's emoji now also shows on its card and on the stickers you send, and you can type any emoji you like
- Reminder voices have new names: Chill is now Classic and Unhinged is now Silly, while Playful stays Playful. If you've been using Upcoming, you keep the voice you had
- New Count in sleeps switch in Settings: countdowns 30 days away or less are counted in sleeps. If you've been using Upcoming, it's already on, so nothing changes until you turn it off
- Keepsakes has its own gallery in Settings: keep the countdowns that have finished, take one back off the shelf, or save it to Photos as an image
- Photos you pick now look sharper

You can turn either off in Settings → Privacy. Your previously saved choices are respected.
